Programs
Benson Hill Elementary PTA is registered as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Fundraising is for the direct benefit of the children of Benson Hill Elementary School. Your Donations support programs such as:
All-Star Reading Program: We run an incentive-based program in which additional books and prizes are given to readers.
Classroom Support: We support individual classroom requests such as classroom projects, subscriptions, supplies for special projects and curriculum resources.
Emergency Preparedness: We purchase supplies such as food, water, sanitary supplies, equipment and first aid kits to support our community in an emergency.
Family Fun Nights: We sponsor several family events like Bingo Night, Dance Night, Math Night, Movie Night, Reading Night, Skate Night, etc.
Field Trips and Assemblies: We subsidize district funding for field trips, outdoor education, and in-school assemblies for all students.
Library Book Dedications: We donate a new book to the Benson Hill Elementary Library in honor of each incoming Kindergarten and New Student. Each book contains a nameplate inscribed with the child’s name. We also purchase Caldecott Medal & Newberry Library Award-Winning Books and Library Subscriptions.
Music Education: We purchase new and updated equipment for Music Education to enhance student learning.
Physical Education: We purchase new and updated equipment for Physical Education to enhance student learning.
Reading is Fundamental (RIF): We distribute at least three books per year to students from a federal grant and your generous support.
Technological Support: We purchase new hardware and software for Benson Hill for grade-specific learning.
Other: We strive every day to enrich the education of students in every way we can. At Benson Hill Elementary, kids come first!
