Programs
Benson Hill Elementary PTA is registered as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Fundraising is for the direct benefit of the children of Benson Hill Elementary School. Your Donations support programs such as:
Classroom Support: We support individual classroom requests such as classroom projects, subscriptions, supplies for special projects and curriculum resources.
Emergency Preparedness: We purchase supplies such as food, water, sanitary supplies, equipment and first aid kits to support our community in an emergency.
Field Trips and Assemblies: We subsidize Renton School District funding for field trips, bus transportation, and in-school assemblies for all students.
Library: We donate a new book to the Benson Hill Elementary Library in honor of each incoming Kindergartener. Each book contains a nameplate inscribed with the child’s name. We also purchase Caldecott Medal & Newberry Library Award-Winning Books and Library Subscriptions.
Music Education: We purchase new and updated equipment for Music Education to enhance student learning.
Physical Education: We purchase new and updated equipment for Physical Education to enhance student learning.
Reading Program: We run an incentive-based program in which additional books and prizes are given to readers for various milestone minutes they read per their grade levels.
Reading is Fundamental (RIF) Program: We distribute at least three books per year to students from a federal grant and your generous support.
Reflections Art Program: The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. Technological Support: We purchase new hardware and software for Benson Hill Elementary for grade-specific learning.
Other: We strive every day to enrich the education of students in every way we can. At Benson Hill Elementary, kids come first!
